We work closely with a large number of organisations and partners and we are keen to build relationships with others in the leaving care sector.
We work closely with the Care Leavers team at DfE, with members of their team regularly presenting at our events and consulting with the Young People’s Benchmarking Forum. We use the collective voice of the forum to influence priorities for policy that will make a difference to care experienced young people. The forum also works with other government departments including the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities around accommodation.
We work closely with other organisations working in this space so that we can share good practice and signpost professionals and young people to support available from organisations such as Become & the Rees Foundation.
NLCBF are part of Ofsted’s leaving care group and we have been involved in supporting Ofsted to hear from care experienced young people and leaving care professionals.
HMPPS – NLCBF are part of the strategic group at the Prison and Probation service that is working on improving support for care experienced offenders.
The Alliance are made up of over 30 organisations working in this area and NLCBF are active members of the group.
